Director
San Francisco, US
I have been a founder and developer of internet services and software ventures in global markets for fifteen years…dreaming, conceiving, founding, building, growing, expanding, valuing, selling, and enjoying the challenges of start-up companies.
I respect, deeply, the founding entrepreneurs and teams who choose this work, and it is my passion to share my experience to help them succeed.”
Ted has served as an AID (advisor, investor, and director) of several Sage portfolio ventures, including: BlueSpace, GetMeIn, and Memetrics, each of which has achieved progressive institutional financing or successful trade sale exits. Ted is currently the CEO of PhoneTell, a local mobile search applications provider serving global carriers.
Ted has 26 years of experience as an entrepreneur, corporate executive, director, and advisor to founders, boards, and senior management teams of emerging growth companies around the world. Prior to co-founding Sage Partners, Ted founded, built, and grew several private companies, such as CATALYST (sold to AT&T), Network 1.0 (sold to SOFTBANK), and RealNames (merged with Microsoft), each of which were market pioneers in their respective segments of the digital performance marketing industry.
Ted earned his M.B.A. in general management from Harvard Business School, and A.B. with High Honors in Architecture and Urban Planning from Princeton University.
